RAÚL E. BOLMARO Raúl has conducted research along the Atlantic South American coast as well as the coastlines of northern Chile and Peru. His major interests centre on material properties, taphonomy and taxonomy of molluscs. For a selection of Raúl's publications, please refer to the publications page. ALEJANDRO CHU Alejandro has worked at a number of sites in central and the north central coast areas of Peru, including Armatambo and Rinconada in the Rimac Valley, Caral in the the Supe Valley, and the Quebrada Gramadal and Quebrada Las Zorras in the Huarmey region. Her archaeomalacological research focuses upon subsistence, gathering techniques, and ethnoarchaeological questions. MARCELA LUCERO JUEZ Marcela has worked on shell material from a variety of sites in Chile from the semi-arid coastal region of Los Vilos, Isla Mocha, and Western Patagonia. Her interests are diverse, covering hunter-gatherer subsistence strategies, the nature of coastal adaptations, biogeography, taphonomy, the archaeology of shell mounds, and shell artefact production technologies. A pdf version of Marcela's thesis can also be found on the publications page. SERGIO MARTÍNEZ Sergio is a palaeontologist, focusing on molluscs, who frequently works with archaeologists.
